Important Varieties of Celery

Celery is grown as an annual crop in plains and a biennial crop in the hills. The leaf stalks, or petioles, of this crop, are eaten as a salad, in soups, in sauces in puree, fried, and spiced, and the seed is being exported to European countries as a condiment.
