Ridge Gourd, or Ribbed Gourd (Lufa acutangula Roxb.) belongs to the Cucurbitaceae family. Ridge gourd can be grown throughout the year and is used as a vegetable. Ridge gourds, or Ripped Gourds, are creepers and have climbing or trailing habits. A wide range of variations in the shape, size, and length is found in its fruits. (d) Method of sowing. The seed is sown by the dibbling method at a spacing of 120 cm (row to row) x 90 cm (plant to plant). Two to three seeds are sown in each pit.
